# LinkedIn profiles and Pages Publishing, Community Management and authorized analytics ## Connect and prepare For legacy personal publishing, choose LinkedIn profile. For approved Page management or member analytics, choose LinkedIn Pages & analytics and authorize the dedicated Community Management app. Select only the destinations you want to connect, then save. The remaining temporary choices close; authorize again to add another destination later. Existing saved connections remain until you disconnect them. ## Review and schedule Inspect the exact authorized destination, caption, media and time. Platform format and rate limits apply. Use Compose in the website or ask an authenticated assistant for a preview before approving. ## Inspect the outcome Open Publishing report and review the channel receipt. Scheduled and submitted states are not the same as published. Retry only after resolving the actual error and checking for an existing post. ## Prepare a professional-profile post Choose your connected personal LinkedIn profile and review its name. Postroom supports captions up to 3,000 characters and up to nine images for the image workflow. Keep media in the workspace uploader and inspect the selected format before scheduling. ## Permissions are not interchangeable Legacy personal-profile publishing does not grant company-Page publishing or analytics. For personal analytics, authorize LinkedIn Pages & analytics, select your returned personal profile as well as any Pages, and use that new profile connection in Analytics. Pages show their current name and logo from a short-lived API lookup. Reports depend on actual permissions and coverage; missing metrics do not establish a publishing failure. Pages Data Portability is a separate product and application.
