Threads

Posts and sequences

Connect and prepare

Prepare text or media and optional linked replies. Replies wait for the preceding receipt. Inspect uncertain processing before retrying. Insights/replies require separate scopes.

Review and schedule

Inspect the exact authorized destination, caption, media and time. Platform format and rate limits apply. Use Compose in the website or ask an authenticated assistant for a preview before approving.

Inspect the outcome

Open Publishing report and review the channel receipt. Scheduled and submitted states are not the same as published. Retry only after resolving the actual error and checking for an existing post.

Build a sequence explicitly

A Threads root can have up to nine linked replies in Postroom. Each reply needs 1–500 characters. The next reply waits for the preceding part’s publication receipt, so a held parent can hold the remaining sequence. Review each part before approving the sequence.

Topics and video restrictions

Postroom accepts one topic up to 50 characters and rejects periods, ampersands and newlines in it. Video topic tags are currently paused after provider publication failures. Remove the topic when preparing a Threads video rather than repeatedly retrying the same unsupported combination.
