Inbox handoff and Direct Post

Connect and prepare

Upload MP4 and review consent/privacy settings. Inbox Upload requires finishing publication in the TikTok app. Direct Post is a separate permission-dependent flow; the Direct Post audit is approved, subject to account grants, verified media URLs, selected privacy and TikTok quotas. A transfer receipt is not a confirmed public post.

Review and schedule

Inspect the exact authorized destination, caption, media and time. Platform format and rate limits apply. Use Compose in the website or ask an authenticated assistant for a preview before approving.

Inspect the outcome

Open Publishing report and review the channel receipt. Scheduled and submitted states are not the same as published. Retry only after resolving the actual error and checking for an existing post.

Inbox handoff is a different outcome

If the selected workflow is Inbox Upload, finish the post in the TikTok mobile app. Copy the caption from Postroom if needed and inspect the handoff receipt. Sending a draft to the inbox is not confirmation of a public post.

Direct publication is permission-dependent

Direct Post requires the relevant provider access and review approval. Inspect privacy, disclosure and interaction settings supported by the current workflow. Do not describe an inbox demonstration as automatic public publication.

Choose visibility and interactions

Compose loads the latest creator settings. Inspect the creator nickname, select an available visibility option yourself and manually enable eligible comments, duet or stitch. These interactions start off; provider-disabled settings remain unavailable. The selected video must fit the returned maximum duration.

Commercial content labels

Turn on commercial disclosure when applicable. Your brand shows Promotional content. Branded content, alone or with Your brand, shows Paid partnership. At least one option is required after disclosure is enabled. Branded content and Only me/private cannot be combined.

Consent and AI disclosure

Review and tick the Music Usage Confirmation before approval. Branded content also adds the Branded Content Policy to the declaration. Changing relevant settings clears consent. AI-generated content is a disclosure checkbox, not a popup or content generator; review it and then provide fresh consent.

Approval status

The Direct Post audit was approved on 23 October 2026. This is separate from a particular account token or completed production test. Account eligibility, verified media URLs and publishing quotas still apply. Do not bypass account or regional restrictions.

Reporting and data limits

Profile statistics and public-video counters require the corresponding scopes. Counters may be lifetime totals, not daily unique audiences. TikTok comment replies and private messaging are not offered by this Content Posting integration.

Revocation and support

Disconnect in Accounts to remove connection credentials and cancel eligible jobs. Revoke the app in TikTok settings to withdraw provider access. Request deletion of retained Postroom data through /data-deletion. See /publishing-safeguards and /support for the full workflow.
